Foot-stompin' banjo, melancholy guitar, spicy mandolin, and "A Sexy Voice!" (Karen Frangoulis, WERU) are the tools of the trade, for this Portland-based singer/songwriter. With the 'modern roots' sound of Iron and Wine and the performance energy of a one-man Old Crow Medicine Show, Putnam puts on a show that makes people want to do a little knee-slappin' one moment, then curl up all intimate-like, the next.

Dale Robin Goodman is a song hunter, always in search of songs from a variety of ethnic, geographical and thematic genres. A good song is her passion, and she believes that the old ones - the lovely gems of days past-are the songs too quickly cast aside and forgotten.
With rich voice and quick humor, Dale Robin's performances are dotted with love songs, songs of work, hard times and the struggles of the working class, old time blues, songs of optimism and thoughtful intent and an occasional sing-along. Her audiences will laugh, sing and possibly yodel along.
Dale Robin's first solo CD, "Sweet and Salty," on Wepecket Island Records, will be available at the show.

Jennifer Comeau peels away our tough layers and shifts us to a better place with her captivating stage presence, wit and grace. Her engineer’s mind and poet’s heart intermingle in a smart, soulful set of songs that can best be described as buoyant folk and blues. Jen’s earliest years in Buffalo, New York, were irrevocably influenced by the poignant Irish folk music of the 60’s, laced with the saucy R&B music of the 70’s. Jennifer wrote all of the songs on her debut CD, "Feed the Tribe". As a collection, they capture the duality of life -- its beauty and its messiness; the cosmic and the comic; what both stirs and saddens us.

Denny has a dazzlingly clean, clear and rhythmically perfect guitar style, that reveals influences from many genres: country, folk, jazz, rock and blues. His songwriting is in the contemporary folk style, but without the confessional self-importance of many of today’s songwriters. Breau writes about life in Maine, life in general. Over the years, Denny has garnered numerous awards from the Maine Country Music Association. He earned Entertainer of the Year, Album of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, and Instrumentalist of the Year so many times that he was eventually retired from the running with an All-Time Greats award.

Rock My Soul is made up of members from varying faiths, backgrounds, professions, ages, you name it. Our common bond is the belief in the greater good of the human spirit, and through our music, we hope to reach across divides and bring audiences together. We believe that learning from our differences makes us stronger and more accepting, and in turn, we come to understand that each and every one of us is, really, the same.
